Encroachment on forests
We are unfortunately living in the era of global warming. Recent High Court order over the encroachment on forest land in Mumbai is disturbing. This order is a real set back for the residents of this belt viz Mulund,Bhandup,Thane and surrounding forest areas. High court refused to accept the legality of un-authorised construction done on 120 acres of forest land. I believe no other court can accept this. Another fine example of nexcess between the builder lobby and top political leadership of this state. Unfortunately its middle class of this country who is going to suffer again. Its middle class only who pays the maximum taxes to the government's kitty and who paid their hard earned life time money to buy a flat. Let us see the route cause of this problem. How actually this happens. Builder occupy a land which is not claimed by any individual. Hefty amount is given from top level political leadership to the bottom level clerks. On paper everything seems to be clear. Building is constructed and sold to innocent people. No doubt that the builder, political leaders conducted a criminal offense but what about banks. Dont they have any responsibility. They do proper verification of the documents and property. Then how they sanctioned these loans? This this India. Nothing seems to be happen for this matter, like recent past Ulhasnagar episode. Our CM heard to be said that with some nominal fine penalty these buildings will be made legal and forest will be developed at some alternate location.
